I decided to bring the piece up to date and chose a beautiful blue by Fusion Mineral Paint called Champness. For the interior a chose a pale yellow called Sandcastle by Dixie Belle Paint to provide a good contrast.\u003c\/div\u003e\u003cdiv\u003e\u003c\/div\u003e\u003cdiv\u003eTo begin, the desk was cleaned with sugar soap and warm soapy water. I did a light scuff sand and then primed every surface with an adhesion primer called Bonding Boss. Next I applied three coats of paint to the exterior and interior. On the leather writing pad, I masked on some stripes to bring the external colour inside. The leather was then finished in a Polyvine Matt varnish to provide some extra protection.\u003c\/div\u003e\u003cdiv\u003e\u003c\/div\u003e\u003cdiv\u003eAll drawers were refreshed inside with Pledge repair oil to minimise scuffs and to nourish the wood.\u003c\/div\u003e\u003cdiv\u003e\u003c\/div\u003e\u003cdiv\u003eTo finish, I hung a large decorative key tassel.\u003c\/div\u003e\u003cdiv\u003e\u003c\/div\u003e\u003cdiv\u003eTHE SEATING CLEARANCE is 74cm from floor to the underside of the writing leaf.\u003c\/div\u003e\u003cdiv\u003e\u003c\/div\u003e\u003cdiv\u003eDELIVERY\u003c\/div\u003e\u003cdiv\u003eDelivery is included to most mainland UK postcodes.
