Maximalist embellished vintage chests, blanket boxes, painted to order from quality vintage items. Bespoke service, Pls msg

This steampunk inspired piece has been painted and embellished in an eclectic, maximalist style using a variety of media.
Gold clock stencils are scattered with 3d real metal cogs and timepieces across the sides and for the harlequin squares on the lid I used a dabbing technique of grey, pale pink and feint lilac to give the impression of an almost mother of pearl inlay.
The animal images (colourful parrot and characterful zebra!) have been blended to make them look like real portraits and I've secured a 3d snake on the centre panel to make this a one-off real statement piece of functional art
The paint is layered to show a glimmer of accent colours underneath the black in areas, to give it characterful depth and vintage authenticity.
I've decorated the back with a vintage layered look and rose decoupage so that the chest could be used as a coffee table or freestanding piece if required. The interior is a mix of paint and natural wood. The wood has been oiled to bring up the grain. The bottom is lined in a vintage dark floral paper and a hinge stay added for safety and convenience.
Varnish and wax have been used to give that lovely matte sheen and for maximum durability.
