Each incorporates a hinged shelf opening to a small storage area beneath, and a draw under the table tops making them both decorative and practical as bedside tables.

The pair could very easily be used as end tables, lamp tables, side tables etc. in any room.

Lovely quality traditional construction throughout, with solid timber interiors and period handwritten workshop/inventory markings still visible internally.

These have retained plenty of character and patina and would work beautifully in a traditional interior, country house bedroom or mixed antique/contemporary setting.

Condition:

Good antique condition overall with wear consistent with age and use. There are various knocks, scratches, scuffs and small marks to the timber, including some more noticeable surface scratching/wear to the tops and minor nibbles/marks around edges and corners and a tiny nick to the edging of one draw.

One table would benefit from a shallow foot pad as there is a very tiny wobble when physically moved. This is minor.

There is evidence of historic reinforcement internally and some hardware/screws appear to be later replacements. Please study the photographs carefully as these form an important part of the condition description.

The age-related wear has deliberately not been refinished away and the pair retain a lovely warm colour and antique character.

Price is for the pair.

Dating and attribution are based on construction, materials and stylistic features; no maker's label has been identified.

Dimensions:

Height: 75cm

Width: 30cm

Length: 40.5cm

Floor to Shelf: 33cm

Shelf to Drawer: 26cm

https://upcite.co.uk/products/pair-antique-edwardian-mahogany-bedside-tables-nightstands-cabinets-c1900
