The simple clean lines of this chest were designed by John and Sylvia Reid for Stag, inspired by Scandinavian Designers they were pioneers of British MCM furniture.
The tallboy has been hand painted in Fusions stunning French Eggshell, and given several coats of flat, wax finish, top coats for added durability. The top has been stripped and the bare wood nourished with oil, and original handles retained and refurbished to keep the classic timeless appearance of this beautiful piece.
We have a matching Stag Minstrel Dressing Table and Stool listed separately but a discount for anyone wishing to purchase as a set will be given. We also have a vast array of Stag Minstrel pieces in stock that can be commissioned to match.
All our painted vintage furniture is thoroughly checked, repaired where necessary, cleaned, sanded, primed and a minimum of two top coats applied.

Please note, this is a vintage piece and like most of us, has a past. Although many many hours have gone into lovingly refurbishing this item there may still be the occasional minimal sign of its past life which only add to its character and beauty

All is well with the cabinet and looks great. It's in storage for a while, the room is not ready as the house is under renovation but will be perfect and I think will be much-loved. Bringing a house and furniture to life is a rewarding combination.
