1930s Oak Inlaid Dome Top Tallboy

A stylish 1930s oak tallboy with a distinctive dome top and beautiful coloured inlay panels featuring a bird motif. A true statement piece that blends craftsmanship with character.

The upper cupboard opens to reveal four neat compartments, originally labelled for underwear and accessories – a charming period detail. Below sit four graduated drawers, all with decorative Bakelite handles, offering generous storage. The piece stands on carved supports with claw-like feet, giving it presence and elegance.

Condition: Good overall, with light surface marks consistent with age. The bottom of the right-hand door has a slight twist, so the lower edge does not sit fully flush when closed. There is also a small chip to the veneer on the right-hand side which has been carefully darkened, making it unobtrusive. To the rear top of the cupboard, the wood has lifted slightly (see photographs). None of these affect stability or function, and the tallboy remains a beautiful, practical piece.

This piece separates into two parts for ease of moving and transport.
