Vintage folding fire screen with integrated table top. The piece functions as both a decorative firescreen and a small occasional or drinks table. It features a framed floral rose panel protected behind glass, set within a distinctive striped faux bamboo style frame. The top folds open with a metal support mechanism, allowing it to be used as a small table when required. An unusual and decorative mid-century piece that works well as a fireside feature or occasional table.

Condition

Vintage condition with age-related wear. The striped frame shows areas of finish wear and some loss in places, particularly to the edges (see photos). Light surface marks to the base and frame. The glass panel and decorative picture remain intact. Folding table mechanism is present and functions as intended. Structurally solid overall with cosmetic wear consistent with age. Would benefit from a good clean up.

"I don’t like to match furniture and love mish mash, quirky and odd looking things lol. I absolutely love them. My house is 203 years old and is grade II listed. I think it makes an old cottage come alive and puts a modern twist on it. I love furniture that tells a story or gets people talking at a house party".
