Late 19th century, hall chair recovered in butter yellow silk. 
The shield, floral decorated back supports surrounding pierced splats centred by an oval portrait of a highly decorated renaissance woman.
The rebuilt sprung seat sits on beautiful shapely legs that have been reapplied to the frame and are now rock solid sturdy with no unnerving movement. 
The shield back of the chair has also been rebuilt and reglued due to looseness of the components of the splat. The repairs are visible but not offensively so.
All in all, a beautiful, Sheraton type one off chair, probably part of a set at some point that found it's way to me for the TLC I've given it.

NOTE. I aim to source / rescue quality furniture that just needs a bit of tlc to restore them to their former glory. I only use high end fabrics to give a bespoke quality feel to each piece. Using such fabrics always enhances the design and makes the whole process so enjoyable for me to work with and of course, for you to enjoy.
In order to comply with British Fire Safety Regulations 1988, all my re-upholstered furniture manufactured after 1st January1950 is re-upholstered using fire retardant material, or contains fire retardant linings such as barrier cloth or wool as a liner / padding.
Please note, most of my furniture pieces are listed on several online market places and one physical shop. As such, on rare occasions it happens that a piece becomes unavailable at short notice. When this happens I try to quickly adjust my listings across the various platforms to prevent disappointment . Thank you for your understanding.
