very beautiful and elegant rare with gold inlaid detailing from the Aesthetic Movement, in the manner of Holland & Sons. The original horsehair pad has been retained, the damask fabric although unlikely to be original, has been reused after adding more filling to seat pad that had become quite compressed. New braid trim has been applied to the whole.

NOTE. I aim to source / rescue quality furniture that just needs a bit of tlc to restore them to their former glory. I only use high end fabrics to give a bespoke quality feel to each piece. Using such fabrics always enhances the design and makes the whole process so enjoyable for me to work with and of course, for you to enjoy.
In order to comply with British Fire Safety Regulations 1988, all my re-upholstered furniture manufactured after 1st January1950 is re-upholstered using fire retardant material, or contains fire retardant linings such as barrier cloth or wool as a liner / padding.
