Antique 19th century Victorian set of two oak dining / side chairs, exceptional and highly decorative expertly crafted and of the finest quality. This impressive pair each displaying remarkable attention to detail and the superb craftsmanship associated with the Victorian period.
One of the most fascinating features of these chairs is the beautifully carved backrests, each showcasing the skill and imagination of the original craftsman, making them a true conversation piece.
The chairs stand on elegant turned legs with front brass castors and solid frames that remain sturdy and free from movement.
The seats and padded backs are upholstered in an attractive red heraldic design fabric, complementing the warm tones of the oak. The timber itself displays beautiful grain and rich colour enhanced by the patina of age throughout the frames, while the intricate carving elevates them far beyond the ordinary.
Presented in excellent condition, these remarkable Victorian dining, side chaird are a rare and highly desirable find.
