Antique Late Victorian English Pine Kitchen Dresser Shelves Housekeeper Cupboard, c.1870   Ref: 2093 Dimensions: Height 1964 mm | Width 1829 mm | Depth 545 mm A superb Late Victorian English Pine Kitchen Dresser, circa 1870, displaying the honest character and craftsmanship of rural domestic furniture. Of substantial proportions, the piece features a three-tier plate rack top with original cup hooks and shaped end supports, above a base with central double-panelled cupboard doors flanked by banks of three drawers on each side. The dresser is constructed in thick planked pine with tongue-and-groove backboards, retaining its dry, original scrubbed surface and traces of early paint beneath. The drawers are fitted with brass campaign-style recessed pulls, lending a robust, utilitarian charm reminiscent of 19th-century English estate kitchens. The broad dresser top offers generous working and display space, ideal for kitchenware, ceramics, or pantry storage. With its beautifully patinated natural finish and functional layout, this dresser embodies the practical beauty of Victorian farmhouse and housekeeper’s furniture — perfect for traditional or contemporary interiors alike.
