This Victorian Dresser has been sympathetically refurbished ready for either the modern or period home. The dresser is perfect for displaying that fine antique dinner service, a vast book collection, or any other curiosities in the home.
The Top has had a complete transformation using Evening Blue Satin Finish furniture paint and by having the panels covered in wallpaper. The top shelf is fixed in position while the lower shelf is adjustable. The doors feature the original glass and the original brass hinges which have been polished (These will tarnish over time).
The base features a ‘secret’ drawer which has been kept in its original state inside to retain its character and lovely scent of days gone by. The lower cupboard, perfect for storing all manner of things has been refurbished with the shelves painted and back wallpapered to match the top. The panelled mahogany doors with floral motif mouldings have remained original, as have the carved decorative finials and drawer front, all of which have been polished.
Dimensions:
Height – 205cm
Width – 112cm
Depth – 43.5cm
New locks have been fitted to both the top cabinet and lower cupboard, the keys of which are complemented by two gold tassels. There are spare keys for both locks. The dresser top is secured to the base using four cross-head bolts which allow for easy removal.
Please note that all my furniture is from years gone by and therefore shows signs of age through minor imperfections such as small nicks and minor scratches to the surface which only adds to their character and tells a story. The dinner service shown in the photos is not included in the sale.

"I was looking for a piece to stand next to a small ornate fireplace in our 1920’s build home and kept coming back to this lovely makeover, named ‘Grace’. I’m so delighted to have bought it. Mandy took time and care in delivering it and although she emphasised the fact it was an old piece I can only re-emphasise that that is exactly what I was looking for. It is testament to her skills that she has given ‘Grace’ a wonderful new lease of life. The stencilling on the drawers is top notch; the piece is painted beautifully - including the bits you wouldn’t normally see, which I prefer. The beautifully highlighted claw feet on the bottom of the piece are a real treat to look at, and my beady-eyed art tutor/’general expert on painted stuff’ agreed Mandys’ work is superb – sympathetic to the piece and to a high standard. I know I shall enjoy having Grace grace our home for many years".

"I don’t like to match furniture and love mish mash, quirky and odd looking things lol. I absolutely love them. My house is 203 years old and is grade II listed. I think it makes an old cottage come alive and puts a modern twist on it. I love furniture that tells a story or gets people talking at a house party".
