A charming Antique Mid Victorian Pine Glazed Cupboard Cabinet, circa 1850, offering beautiful proportions and a soft, time-worn patina characteristic of English country furniture from the mid-19th century. Constructed from solid pine throughout, this two-door cabinet features its original glass panels framed within finely moulded surrounds, providing an attractive display space for tableware, books, or collectables.
Internally, two fixed shelves offer ample storage, while the natural warmth and grain of the pine create a welcoming, rustic appeal. The cabinet retains much of its original integrity, with honest wear, light foxing to the glass, and historic character marks that speak to its long domestic history. The sides and backboards show the maker’s joinery and original hand-planing, while the simple cornice and plinth base highlight the piece’s understated, functional design.
