Above sits a later associated plate rack with shaped sides, moulded cornice and a full backboard of tongue-and-groove pine boards, giving plenty of display space for plates, jugs and favourite pieces.

The dresser has a warm honey pine colour with knots, small knocks and wear in all the right places, consistent with long domestic use. Turned feet lift the piece nicely from the floor, while simple wooden knob handles keep the look honest and unfussy.
