Antique Mid Victorian Pine Two over Two Chest of Drawers, c1850 A wonderfully original Mid Victorian pine chest of drawers, c.1850, in a classic two-over-two configuration and displaying the warm, sun-faded finish only genuine period pine can achieve. This is an exceptionally charming, unspoilt piece — full of character, surface wear, knots, shrinkage lines and marks that tell a true story of 19th-century domestic life. The bleached, pale tone of the pine is hugely desirable in modern interiors, blending effortlessly with cottage, Scandi, farmhouse and rustic schemes. The chest stands on delightful turned bun feet and features chunky, hand-turned wooden knobs across all four drawers. The drawers run smoothly and offer excellent storage, with the top two providing ideal smaller compartments for linens or clothing.
