Description
Industrial Mill Wicker Basket made by Arthur Craven of Manchester. Purchased in Congleton, believed to have come from Beresford's Ribbons Ltd Congleton. Still has numbers and content description sprayed on side "SELECT US RIBBONS" and the number "164". Built on a wooden chassis with fixed and rotating castors. Structure is robust with a typical industrial "Sag" where it has been loaded with goods. Top opens and functions but is missing one leather strap. Has large rope handles at each end. A good clean example of a robust industrial mill basket. See images

A used industrial mill basket. Scuffs and knocks on corners, one strap missing, has a sag to it from use. Good solid basket with functioning lid. See images
