This elegant and refined Victorian stool has been restored by replacing the original broken rattan seat base with a soft and comfortable domed cushion. The inner materials consist of webbing, foam and fire retardant wool lining. The outer fabric is a digitally printed velvet featuring Becca Who's 'Serpentwined'. The cushion pad is trimmed with bright and shiny brass domed decorative nails.
The wood has been cleaned and resealed with beeswax which has brought out the rich reddish colour of the mahogany finish beautifully.
One Stretcher is missing giving the stool a little more movement than usual, but it is still perfectly stable and usable but  my pricing of this item reflects this.

I aim to source / rescue quality furniture that just needs a bit of tlc to restore them to their former glory. I only use high end fabrics to give a bespoke quality feel to each piece. Using such fabrics always enhances the design and makes the whole process so enjoyable for me to work with and of course, for you to enjoy.

In order to comply with British Fire Safety Regulations 1988, all my re-upholstered furniture manufactured after 1st January1950 is re-upholstered using fire retardant material, or contains fire retardant linings such as barrier cloth or wool as a liner / padding.

Please note, most of my furniture pieces are listed on several online market places and one physical shop. As such, on rare occasions it happens that a piece becomes unavailable at short notice. When this happens I try to quickly adjust my listings across the various platforms to prevent disappointment . Thank you for your understanding.
