Beautiful ornate vintage sideboard on castors

The beautiful, likely walnut, wood has been allowed to shine in this pretty little ornate vintage piece. The frame and sides have been painted a taupe-grey muted neutral tone while the top and drawers have been treated and oiled to bring out the beautiful wood grain.

The original ornate handles have been made to shine with gold wax and coordinate beautifully with the gold wax detailing on legs and sides.

The drawers have been left unlined because the wood is so beautiful inside them – just a treatment of nourishing wax has been applied to help them shine.

Solid and well made from solid wood, with smooth running drawers. The tapered legs end in castors.

I have upcycled with great attention to detail but please be aware this is a preloved piece so may have some imperfections due to being previously owned and loved.

Surfaces of this piece have deliberately not been sanded to remove all signs of wear – I wanted to show the previous life of this piece and embrace its age and character.

The piece must have had an upper part which is no longer around. As such, small holes where this attached are on the top. These have been disguised as much as possible, but signs still remain.
