***Now Sold**Handpainted Vintage Chest of Drawers with fabric decoupage.

Early 1900s

This vintage chest of drawers has been in a tired shape and needed some tlc. All been sanded to raw wood then been restored by giving it a new lease of life with great attention to detail using non toxic lead free paint by fusion mineral paint. Coal black used on the sides and edges then the top drawer 3D ombre look is achieved by blend of coal black with mix of greens and blues.

Fronts are covered with floral fabric in mustard green/ yellow and browns to give this piece modern vibrant look.

Stencil was used together with chocolate paint inside the drawers to make this piece a pretty surprise when you open the drawer out.

Inside the drawers has been treated with a delicate white tea scented wax from wise owl.

At the end the paint and fabric areas has been covered and sealed with few coats of water based varnish.

The top and edges previously sanded to the raw wood and then protected by fusion mineral paint stain and oil in one in cappuccino colour keeping the original wood grain.

New bronze coloured hardware was added to the drawees to achieve moder feel.

This bespoke glamorous chest will make a striking addition to any modern home.

Please note that this is an antique furniture and despite the fact it's been throughout cleaned, primed and professionally restored with attention to detail it still might have some marks here and there especially inside of it due to its previous life which only all adding the originality to its beauty.

We found this really good website called Upcite where we saw lots of different and unusual furniture. We were after something oldie looking to go under the eaves in our little snug room that has oak beams. This needed to be a specific size and look. Soo pleased when we found the Upcite website with a range of possibilities. We ordered a sideboard and it arrived within a few days and fits perfectly. It now looks lovely with it’s Christmas Garland on! From our experience we would recommend Upcite to others.

Item is nice but experience wasn't great

I did eventually receive the sideboard after a lot of back and forth, and the seller reached out to me. It arrived with a few scratches but that’s not the sellers fault and can be touched up. The experience however was rather stressful. I wish the seller had been as proactive from the start and not only after I complained, as it is simply nerve wrecking to spend close to £1000 and then never really hear from them and having to chase them repeatedly and the item not being delivered when it was agreed. Overall I am happy with the sideboard, but my experience wasn’t great and that’s how I genuinely feel.
