As I began carefully stripping it back, the most beautiful burr walnut started to emerge—full of depth, movement, and natural character that simply can’t be replicated. From that point on, the direction was clear… let the wood lead.
I’ve paired the rich walnut with a deep, earthy green to frame and enhance it, rather than compete with it. The contrast creates a calm, grounded feel while still allowing the grain to take centre stage.
And then there’s the detail you don’t see straight away…
