There’s something truly special about a piece like this.
Originally crafted in the late Victorian era, this elegant dressing table has been thoughtfully restored and reimagined in my Radcliffe studio — bringing together traditional craftsmanship and a more refined, contemporary feel.
This has been a genuine labour of love.
The original finish was carefully stripped back to reveal the natural warmth and character of the wood beneath. Each drawer front has been restored to highlight the beautiful grain, creating a striking contrast against the rich, deep teal painted body.
The top has been meticulously refinished with multiple layers to achieve a smooth, durable surface, designed to stand up to everyday use while maintaining a refined, furniture-grade finish.
The original brass handles have been individually cleaned and restored by hand, allowing them to sit beautifully within the new design while preserving a sense of the piece’s history.
Inside, there’s a quieter moment of detail — the drawers and rear panel have been lined with a soft botanical design, adding depth, warmth, and a subtle element of surprise when opened.
This piece is not mass-produced.
It’s completely unique — designed and restored with care, patience, and attention to detail throughout.
