An exquisite walnut veneered reproduction French style king sized bed frame of exceptional presence and refined elegance.

The beautifully sweeping headboard and matching footboard are expertly crafted with flowing curves and stunning book-matched veneer panels, showcasing the rich warmth and natural grain of the walnut. Ornate gilt metal embellishments adorn both the head and foot, forming an elegant central crest and decorative mounts that elevate the piece with true French sophistication.

The frame stands on finely turned feet, each finished with further gilt detailing, adding a sense of grandeur and timeless craftsmanship. The overall effect is both luxurious and imposing — a true centrepiece for any bedroom.

This bed is incredibly solid and heavy, offering a wonderful feeling of quality and durability.

There is some veneer loss, most noticeably to areas of the headboard, along with minor surface wear and age-related marks, all visible in the photographs. There is also some fading towards the lower section of the headboard, though this would not be seen once a mattress is in place. These imperfections do little to detract from the overall beauty and stately character of the piece.

Previously, gilt metal braces were fitted by former owners to secure the headboard and footboard together, with a divan base placed within the centre. The original matching side rails are present and included, allowing the bed to be assembled in its traditional form if preferred (the metal braces would need to be removed to do so).

Despite its cosmetic wear, this remains a stunning and impressive bed frame, offering classic French elegance, luxurious detailing, and commanding presence.
