A handsome Edwardian satinwood chest of drawers with warm honey-coloured tones and plenty of character. Originally believed to have been part of a dressing table suite, the top has been sanded back at some stage, giving the piece a simpler and more rustic appearance while retaining its period charm.

The chest offers useful storage with four drawers in a practical configuration, featuring matching pairs of decorative handles to the upper and lower drawers. It remains solid and sturdy throughout, with attractive colour and patina developed over many years of use.

Condition;

* Solid and sturdy throughout

* Four drawers, all opening and closing as they should

* Matching handles to the top pair and matching handles to the lower pair

* Historic woodworm present, professionally treated and inactive

* Some discolouration to the sides, though nothing significant

* General marks and wear to the drawer fronts and top consistent with age and use

* Sanded top surface from its former life as a dressing table

* Overall presents well with good period character
