A handsome antique mahogany display cabinet dating from the Edwardian period, circa 1900–1910.
Made in the Sheraton Revival style, the cabinet features fine boxwood stringing and an attractive central inlaid panel decorated with a ribbon bow and trailing bellflowers. The pair of doors has elegant leaded glazing and opens to reveal a green fabric-lined interior with two display shelves.
The cabinet stands on slender square tapering legs terminating in spade feet, joined by a useful shaped undertier. Its narrow proportions make it particularly suitable for displaying china, glassware or collectables without occupying excessive floor space.

The cabinet is in good, sound and usable antique condition.
As expected of an item more than 100 years old, it has age-related marks,
scratches, small knocks, finish wear and areas of fading. The top has noticeable surface scratching and an old separation or split near the right-hand side.
There is some wear and minor loss to the moulding around the projecting central section,
together with marks to the legs and other edges.
The green interior fabric shows age-related wear and discolouration.
The leaded glazing also exhibits normal age and wear.
The doors operate correctly, and the lock is supplied with a working key.
These points have been photographed and form part of the cabinet’s antique character.
