A beautifully unique Edwardian side table. Perfect size to use as a lamp or hallway table. Would also work as a bedside table.

Two deep drawers, tall elegant legs and fabulous copper toned art nouveau brass pulls on the drawers.

The original Mahogany finish was looking a little worn and dated. I decided to update the piece in a mid smoky blue called Cottage Blue by Shabby Chic Paint. For the inside of the drawers, the sides of the drawers and the back panel, I chose a lighter toned blue called Little Whale by Fusion Mineral Paint.

To begin, I cleaned all surfaces with sugar soap and warm soapy water. I primed using a specialist adhesion primer by Dixie Belle Paint called Bonding Boss. Next, three coats of paint were applied followed by two coats of Polyvine matte varnish to seal and protect the finish.

The back panel and drawer sides were stencilled in a distinctive harlequin pattern to add character and again varnish was applied to protect.
