Edwardian Walnut Double Wardrobe

A striking Edwardian walnut wardrobe with beautifully figured walnut veneer doors and elegant proportions throughout. The rich grain patterns to the front panels give this piece a particularly decorative appearance, complemented by the removable stepped cornice with carved Greek key detailing.

Internally the wardrobe offers generous hanging storage with a long fixed upper shelf, hanging rail beneath, and four original hooks to the interior sides. Includes a working key and lock.

Raised on shaped bracket feet, this is a solid and substantial piece that separates visually with its refined detailing while still being highly practical for everyday use.

Condition: Good vintage condition overall with age-related wear. Sides show only minimal wear. The front presents very well with attractive walnut grain throughout. There is some minor chipping to the vertical door trim running top to bottom, though nothing significant.

The removable crown cornice has some chips to the corners and a section missing to the back right edge near the rear, as shown in the photographs. Interior is clean and solid.
