A kitchen table and a few chairs represents the heart of a home in my book and this set will not disappoint.
With a chunky table top and lovely turned legs it had served its family well but found itself homeless after a downsizing move.
Always up for a challenge when it comes to saving a piece of furniture I decided to cut it down to make a cute farmhouse table for smaller spaces. Add a couple of spindle back chairs and hey presto we have a gorgeous set.
Stripping previous wax finish, prepping and hand painting the chairs and table legs in Annie Sloan chalk paint with clear wax and butchers block oil to the table top for protection and durability.
Graphite is described as a soft charcoal black, inspired by Lamp Black, a traditional pigment. Waxed it becomes a beautiful black like dark slate.
