It was my sewing teacher who told me “the inside of your garment should look as good as the outside” and it’s stayed with me ever since.
As a furniture painter I take great pride in my work to ensure that my pieces meet my standard and not disappoint my customers.
This pieces are true work horse of our daily lives. Loved, used and abused they hold a secret, and that is with a little love and attention they can appear to be new again.
Our journey always begins with dismantling and stripping the piece back to bare wood before refinishing.
This time in a deep green, sure to give any room a pop of colour. Matt varnish and butcher block oil finishes the bespoke Oak Stave top providing protection and durability.
Rebuilding the piece with new hardware and caster wheels the piece is finished and ready for a new life.
A really gorgeous piece that I am happy to be viewed and collected in person from Puckeridge, Hertfordshire. SG11.

"I was looking for a piece to stand next to a small ornate fireplace in our 1920’s build home and kept coming back to this lovely makeover, named ‘Grace’. I’m so delighted to have bought it. Mandy took time and care in delivering it and although she emphasised the fact it was an old piece I can only re-emphasise that that is exactly what I was looking for. It is testament to her skills that she has given ‘Grace’ a wonderful new lease of life. The stencilling on the drawers is top notch; the piece is painted beautifully - including the bits you wouldn’t normally see, which I prefer. The beautifully highlighted claw feet on the bottom of the piece are a real treat to look at, and my beady-eyed art tutor/’general expert on painted stuff’ agreed Mandys’ work is superb – sympathetic to the piece and to a high standard. I know I shall enjoy having Grace grace our home for many years".

"I don’t like to match furniture and love mish mash, quirky and odd looking things lol. I absolutely love them. My house is 203 years old and is grade II listed. I think it makes an old cottage come alive and puts a modern twist on it. I love furniture that tells a story or gets people talking at a house party".
