A lovely Pine storage bench which has stood the testament of time is always worth my time to repair and refinish.
Stripping the piece back to bare wood i uncovered not one, not two but three previous incarnations. Each time fitting it’s brief.
Sanding back the major signs of age but respecting those collected from a life well lived we began building up a soft three colour palette of chalk paint layers finishing with a French Linen, a warm beige / grey, to create a piece that will once again develop overtime with age.
Lightly distressed and waxed for that extra special protection and lustre, she is finally ready.
