Lebus Mid-Century Vintage Sideboard

We found a mid-century Lebus sideboard with a beautiful design that we wanted to restore. However, we knew that it needed a funky touch to make it fit into modern 21st-century interior design. For this, we used a paper from Timorous Beasties called Marble Gum to decoupage it. The vibrant colours, abstract design, and slight sparkly sheen of the paper helped us achieve a unique and super-modern design.

The sideboard has five drawers, four at the top, and a small interior drawer. The cupboard has two large sections, each with one shelf, offering ample storage space. We painted the woodwork a dark midnight blue to enhance the vibrancy of the paper. Additionally, we refurbished and reused the original handles.

The sliding door works perfectly and can be opened to the left or right.

This sideboard is one of a kind and unique.

We take great care in restoring and redesigning our furniture, ensuring that all decoupaged areas are coated with a super tough satin varnish. This not only enhances the appearance of the furniture but also makes it durable over time.
