These 1960s meredew chest of drawers came to us with a very high gloss finish which really needed to be removed.
So first thing we did was clean them and then started to remove the shiny veneer. It was a very messy job ,but we got it off to reveal a lovely solid wood. Perfect for what we had in mind.
With ample storage these now modern 6 drawers with it's new Look can store all your wears.
Inside drawer mesasure are

We kept the original handles but throughly cleaned them and gave the a fresh new coat of gold.

We kept the original black legs and brass feet. These can adjust the height a few cms .

We found this really good website called Upcite where we saw lots of different and unusual furniture. We were after something oldie looking to go under the eaves in our little snug room that has oak beams. This needed to be a specific size and look. Soo pleased when we found the Upcite website with a range of possibilities. We ordered a sideboard and it arrived within a few days and fits perfectly. It now looks lovely with it’s Christmas Garland on! From our experience we would recommend Upcite to others.
I did eventually receive the sideboard after a lot of back and forth, and the seller reached out to me. It arrived with a few scratches but that’s not the sellers fault and can be touched up. The experience however was rather stressful. I wish the seller had been as proactive from the start and not only after I complained, as it is simply nerve wrecking to spend close to £1000 and then never really hear from them and having to chase them repeatedly and the item not being delivered when it was agreed. Overall I am happy with the sideboard, but my experience wasn’t great and that’s how I genuinely feel.
