A lovely piece of French furniture with a warm polished wood finish and classic traditional styling.

The cabinet features three generous drawers with attractive original brass escutcheon-style fittings, together with a hinged drop-front pull out writing surface.(lock missing)

Inside the writing compartment is the original green leather/felt-style writing surface, giving the piece a particularly attractive traditional character.

The cabinet bears the original Moreux de Varennes manufacturer's plaque.

Moreux de Varennes was a French furniture manufacturer known for traditional furniture, including Louis-Philippe-style pieces. The company was established in Varennes-sur-Allier and manufactured furniture from the mid-20th century. (1211)

Overall, good vintage/used condition, with the expected minor marks and signs of age from normal use.
