These world renowned, well built chairs just keep going on and on. Built to last, they offer comfort and stability, retaining their good looks and that mid century look that is so on trend.
The chair has been completely stripped and reupholsteted using a high end, quality velvet from Linwood's 'Cosmos' range. The colour is called 'currant" and the fabric gives a lustrous sheen, is naturally fire retardant and stain resistant. A chair of this quality demands a great makeover with a quality fabric.
The wood frame is made from Beech wood and has been restored by rubbing back the areas where the original varnish has been worn away through year of use, scuffs and knocks.

I aim to source / rescue quality furniture that just needs a bit of tlc to restore them to their former glory. I only use high end fabrics to give a bespoke quality feel to each piece. Using such fabrics always enhances the design and makes the whole process so enjoyable for me to work with and of course, for you to enjoy.
NOTE. In order to comply with British Fire Safety Regulations 1988, all my re-upholstered furniture manufactured after 1st January1950 is re-upholstered using fire retardant material, or contains fire retardant linings such as barrier cloth or wool as a liner / padding.
Postage;
I only use a specialist furniture carrier for my valuable and antique furniture. This has proven necessary to ensure you receive them in the same condition they leave my home. The carrier is fully insured and protects each item such that no external wrappings are required! The service is tracked and usually next day delivery to a room of your choice.
