Rainbow Colour Solid Wood Farmhouse Dining Table And Chairs

This is a solid wood farmhouse set of dining table and four chairs.

They are very traditional, and the chairs are spindle back style, two with carver arms and two without.

They are all in good solid condition, but they had some surface wear so they were painted, and just the table top was waxed in a rich dark wax after being thoroughly cleaned and sanded.

The table is drop leaf on two sides making an oval shape when fully extended, reaching 150 cm in length.

The main body of painted surfaces are in Chicago Grey by Annie Sloan, and protected by clear wax. I painted all of the horizontal lines on the set in the grey, and planned colour for the rest.

For the spindles and table legs, I used the roygbiv spectrum for colour inspiration and I made sure the same sequence matched perfectly on each chair and the table legs, so they all run in the same order. They are also finished and protected with clear wax.

You will see that a different paint product was used for each colour so we have a mix of chalky paints like rustoleum and annie sloan with smoother ones like frenchic.

Its an absloutely lovely result, and it will be a great statement and functional piece in a country, traditional or contemporary interior.
