This is a superb Lebus sideboard which was manufactured to the highest of standards circa 1960/1970. She started off life as a dressing table but has changed with the times and is now a super sideboard with 4 drawers and an open display compartment for those special drinks and glasses. The compact size provides additional storage where space is at a premium.
The makeover is stunning. The whole piece has had a thorough refurbishment with the exposed veneer on the top sanded back to its original state with contrasting feature stripes in black and walnut stain added. The top has been treated with several coats of Osmo oil to give a waterproof and protective finish. The paintwork is black mineral paint to the sides, legs and drawer fronts. Our signature veneer stripes to the top drawers add further interest. The open central compartment has been lined with a stunning deep pink and black floral pattern and finished with several coats of varnish for protection. A rechargeable LED light illuminates the drinks and a hanging glass rail holds up to 5 glasses.

"I was looking for a piece to stand next to a small ornate fireplace in our 1920’s build home and kept coming back to this lovely makeover, named ‘Grace’. I’m so delighted to have bought it. Mandy took time and care in delivering it and although she emphasised the fact it was an old piece I can only re-emphasise that that is exactly what I was looking for. It is testament to her skills that she has given ‘Grace’ a wonderful new lease of life. The stencilling on the drawers is top notch; the piece is painted beautifully - including the bits you wouldn’t normally see, which I prefer. The beautifully highlighted claw feet on the bottom of the piece are a real treat to look at, and my beady-eyed art tutor/’general expert on painted stuff’ agreed Mandys’ work is superb – sympathetic to the piece and to a high standard. I know I shall enjoy having Grace grace our home for many years".
