Small three drawer chest - bedside cabinet

‘NEPTUNE’

A space inspired three drawer chest which would ideally suit a child’s bedroom, either as a bedside cabinet or extra storage unit. 

Upcycled to a high standard in a shade of dark blue.  The side panels have been decoupaged with a space design, that features, planets, stars and moons. The chest has three drawers with the handles finished in a silver tone and the drawer fronts are decoupaged to in the space themed design, to match the side panels.

This is unique piece of furniture that would definitely make a statement in a child’s bedroom.

This piece started life as a plain wooden chest and has been pre-loved but is still in excellent condition, so deserved to be preserved and upcycled.  There are still many years of life left in this beautiful and unusual piece of furniture.

I have worked extremely hard preparing this piece prior to hand-painting with a quality furniture paint, complimented by the cosmic design and silver tone handles.  Both of which add to the character and style.

After painting and applying the design, this piece was finished with several coats of lacquer to ensure it is hardwearing and fit for purpose.  ‘Neptune’ has been upcycled to a high standard so that it can be enjoyed for many years to come.

‘Neptune’ has been lovingly restored by hand, by myself and with this in mind, was preloved and has had a previous life.  You may find small signs of wear because when I work on individual pieces of furniture, I consider it a piece of artwork, therefore, I try to encapsulate the past along with maintaining the character.  Also there may be slight imperfections or flaws due to the nature of the individual craft being used during the upcycling process which is completely carried out by hand.  I believe all of these things to be features that add to the character and uniqueness of each piece I recreate.
