Holmes Chapel
This is a beautifully made solid English oak drop leaf gate leg dining table by renowned cabinet makers Titchmarsh and Goodwin of Ipswich, England. It does not have a Titchmarsh and Goodwin plaque as it was pre the time they did this. However, it has the typical and trademark under bracket fixings used by them and has the same dimensions and style as RL42 from the Titchmarsh and Goodwin archive.
The table features a wonderful aged, distressed colour and choice of oak which has patinated over time to give a fabulous country house interior look. It is crafted from quality oak, making it very heavy. The table has a single cutlery drawer with trademark expansion screw to the base typical of Titchmarsh and Goodwin.
The table measures 169cm x 122cm and 76cm high when fully extended, and 57cm x 122cm when both leaves are down.
It is in very good condition with typical usage marks on the top, which do not affect its appeal or use.
Collection is available from Alcock's Antiques & Interiors, Holmes Chapel (CW4). We are happy to liaise with couriers and recommend Proovia or Shiply for quotations.
