Black Upcycled Drinks Cabinet
This upcycled drinks cabinet was formerly an old hi-fi unit that was set to go to landfill before we rescued it. It was impractical, damaged and no longer a useful piece of furniture so we took to refurbishing it and transforming it into something a little more useful - a drinks cabinet!
The cabinet has been painted in Rustoleum's Carbon - black, giving it a sleek sophisticated look inside and out. Inside the cabinet has been painted black, with the exception of the back panel which we've added some gorgeous statement wallpaper, that adds a vibrant pop of colour in just the right place with its beautiful peacock feather design in shades of pink, purple and blue.
The drinks cabinet has been refurbished to include two hanging glass spaces, big enough to hold two large gin glasses on each side if you so wish. There is a central shelf that separates the cabinet, with ample space below this for drinks bottles of around 70cl.
We are delighted with this transformation, and even more thrilled that it's another item of furniture saved from landfill.

Bench has arrived and it’s perfect. I hope to strip off the varnish and expose the natural wood and a clear sealing wax to keep it tip top. The delivery guys were very good and placed the bench in situ. So 5 stars to them. Timing was spot on to!!!

We have installed the Mahogany Chippendale Show Cabinet today! I have attached some photos of it in situ. We are planning to have a photoshoot in a few weeks where it will be dressed with glasses etc. I will be sure to send some more over then- it’s going to be a showstopper! It is a very beautiful piece and we are really happy with the purchase.
