After thorough preparation, this upcycled piece has been painted in a deep, moody dark navy, giving it a dramatic and sophisticated finish that works beautifully in both traditional and contemporary interiors.
On the inside, the back has been decoupaged with a bold and vibrant tropical bird and botanical design, featuring parrots, peacocks and lush foliage in jewel tones of teal, coral and gold. This showstopping design gives the piece a maximalist, eclectic edge that makes it truly one of a kind.
The decoupage has been finished with several coats of varnish for durability.
A mains powered LED strip light has been added along the top of the interior, allowing the contents to be displayed beautifully and doubling as stunning ambient lighting in any room. The original gold hardware has been retained, and a decorative tassel key adds a lovely finishing touch.
