In fair condition for its age with scratches, scuffs and chip commensurate with age. The top has been sympathetically refinished in a satin varnish retaining some of the original wear and tear and marks.The top is paler in colour than the rest of the desk due to the old varnish having yellowed on the rest of the desk. There's some holes in the back of the top which have been filled, I think it would originally have had an upstand around the sides and back of the top which is no longer present. Two of the handles don't quite match the others, so handles have broken over the years and been glued together, they're now secure but there's a small piece of wood missing on one, also there are holes in the centre where a decorative bead would have been but these are missing. Some drawers have had internal repairs, but they're all in working order, children have written their names inside some drawers. There's a small section of missing black beading on the right hand end and a previous owner has painted a black stripe to blend it in, there's also a small piece missing on the other end, see pics.

We can deliver to you ourselves within an hour of Leigh On Mendip for a small charge, but please MESSAGE US with your postcode details BEFORE PURCHASING for us to agree a date and delivery price with you, and we will personally deliver the item to your door.
For deliveries further afield, EXCLUDING SCOTTISH HIGHLANDS, ISLANDS and IRELAND, we use tried and trusted independent couriers who offer a 2 hour time slot and specialise in the careful shipping of furniture to ensure your item arrives on time, damage free and by friendly helpful people. We don’t use the cheapest couriers around for a reason…….we want your item to arrive in the condition that it left us in, and we value happy customers !!!

IMPORTANT:
Your item will be dispatched the week after you place your order, we cannot usually dispatch in the same week that you place your order. This means that your order will generally take 1-2 weeks to be delivered, deliveries to Scotland may take longer.
You will need to be available to take delivery. This could be any day between Monday and Friday but we will advise you of the proposed day prior to booking the couriers in to check if this is convenient for you. If you have any specific dates in mind please contact us prior to purchase so that we can check whether our couriers can be in your area on this day.
You will need to provide us with a mobile number at check out for us to pass onto the couriers.
Delivery will be handled by a two man team is to the GROUND floor of your home only.
