A characterful and authentic Victorian domed steamer trunk, constructed in timber with iron banding and original metal fittings. Full of rustic charm, this handsome antique piece makes a wonderful storage chest, blanket box, coffee table or decorative statement item.

Featuring its classic domed top, iron straps, carry handles and aged patina, it has all the charm expected of a genuine period travelling trunk. The warm timber tones and timeworn finish give it a wonderfully atmospheric look. Likely made in oak or pine with iron strengthening bands.

Condition: Overall rustic condition with plenty of age-related wear, marks and patina consistent with a well-travelled Victorian trunk. Historic worm present. Opens and shuts well. Lock mechanism is present but there is no key. A superb decorative piece with practical storage space.
