This distinguished Victorian  extending dining table is a superb example of refined Victorian craftsmanship. Made from richly toned, high-grade mahogany, the table displays a deep, glowing patina that has matured gracefully over its lifetime, adding warmth and sophistication to any interior.

The elegantly shaped groomed edge frames the tabletop beautifully, while the refined cabriole supports provide both sculpture and strength. Each leg is enhanced with hand-carved acanthus leaf shoulders, showcasing the artistry and meticulous workmanship characteristic of furniture from this period.

Originally constructed as a wind-out table, the internal mechanism has since been removed, allowing it to operate as a smooth, effortless pull-out table. The extending sections glide with ease, transforming the piece from an intimate dining surface to a grand table capable of seating 8–10 guests—perfect for both everyday dining and formal entertaining.

In keeping with its age, the table shows expected signs of gentle use, all detailed in the accompanying photographs. Notably, a small trim block is missing from one side - to the under perimeter - a historic alteration which has been professionally darkened to blend with the surrounding timber. This does not detract from the table’s beauty, stability, or functionality in any way.
