Vintage Art Deco Sideboard - Green & Original Wood

A striking vintage Art Deco sideboard, sympathetically restored and reimagined to celebrate its original period detailing.

The cabinet has been refinished in Fusion Mineral Paint's Pressed Fern, a deep, sophisticated green chosen to complement the warmth of the original wood. Rather than concealing the piece beneath paint, the beautiful wood veneer has been deliberately retained across the central door, drawer fronts, feet and decorative details, creating a rich contrast between the natural timber and deep green finish.

One of the most distinctive features is the sideboard's decorative hardware, with wonderfully ornate circular backplates and handles that give the piece real character. The curved central section, shaped veneer panels and substantial Art Deco proportions make this an unusual statement piece rather than simply a painted vintage cabinet.

Behind the doors is generous storage, while the drawers have been newly lined with an Art Deco-inspired teal and gold fan-pattern lining, chosen to complement the deep green exterior and continue the period character of the piece. Both decorative and practical, it would work particularly well as a dining-room sideboard, drinks cabinet, living-room storage piece or statement cabinet in an entrance hall.

This is a genuine vintage piece and has been restored rather than made new. Minor signs of age and previous life may therefore remain and form part of its character.
