A striking vintage chess and games table, individually restored and hand-painted in a dramatic palette of black, white and antique gold.
The octagonal black tabletop features a contrasting chessboard design framed by refined gold edging, creating a bold focal point while retaining the character of the original piece. The unusual turned legs and decorative base have been finished in coordinating monochrome, with carefully placed antique-gold accents highlighting the shape and detailing of the table.
The sculptural base is particularly distinctive, with its combination of turned supports, curved stretchers and decorative lower section giving the piece an almost theatrical quality from every angle.
Both decorative and functional, it would make a wonderful chess table, games table, occasional table or statement side table, particularly in an eclectic, maximalist, traditional or historically inspired interior.
A unique, one-off piece designed to bring character and drama to a room.
This is a vintage piece which has been restored and refinished by hand. Minor signs of age and previous life may therefore remain; these are considered part of its individual character rather than detracting from the piece.
