A handsome vintage reproduction mahogany extending dining table by Beresford & Hicks Limited, of classic traditional form and raised on two elegant triform pedestal bases. The table displays a rich, warm tone with attractive figuring to the top, enhanced by a refined banded edge that lends a particularly smart and formal appearance.

Designed with versatility in mind, the table unlocks to reveal a folding central leaf which slots neatly into place, allowing the size to be increased for larger gatherings. The extension action is currently a little stiff when opening, though it operates as intended and the table remains solid, sturdy, and structurally sound throughout.

There are light superficial marks to the tabletop consistent with age and careful use, visible in the photographs, yet overall the piece presents well and retains a pleasing finish.
