Elevate your space
This old steamer trunk has been beautifully upcycled into a one-of-a-kind occasional chair. 
Upholstered in a luxuriously soft teal velvet fabric and finished with six diamante buttons. The body of the case is covered in a delicate pink floral and bird pattern that creates a unique look. 
Distinctive
Each chair has a distinct name, this one is Kershaw. I choose names which have a connection to the trunk's past. Whether that is part of a former owners name, address, or a place featured on an old travel ticket. 

Work Involved
This case involved a complete strip down, removing the wooden bands and the metal fittings, before cleaning and repainting them. 
I do not replace any of the original case parts unless absolutely necessary. Unfortunately the handles were missing, so new metal ones were added. 
Where parts have been left in their original state, you can still expect to see minor damage, such as dinks and dents.
Safety
This chair does have a barrier fabric that is a Schedule 3 interliner and ignition source 5 (crib 5) standards of the Furniture and Furnishings 1988 (Fire Safety) Regulations for domestic and commercial use.
The seat foams used have been tested by our supplier(s) to ensure compliance with the relevant Furniture & Furnishings Regs 1988 (Fire Safety) Schedule 1,Pt 1. The outer cover is not match resistant. The seat is made using very firm foam.

Every chair is a guaranteed one-off design. No two will ever be the same.

Important Notice
This particular chair may not be suitable in a heavy traffic area. For instance, where children or pets could easily damaged the outer case paper.
