Antique set of six oak Cromwellian Revival high back dining chairs dating from the Edwardian period, c.1920
A striking country house set with richly carved arched backs, each chair featuring a bold central flower within scrolling foliate panels, framed by square uprights with finials. The solid oak seats sit on turned front legs and block rear legs united by robust stretchers, giving the set a wonderfully sturdy feel that’s ready for daily family use.
The oak has a deep, mellow chocolate patina with just the right amount of age and wear from over a century of service. Perfect around a refectory or farmhouse kitchen table, they would also work beautifully as statement hall or occasional chairs.
The set comprises six matching chairs. Approximate dimensions: height 1130 mm, height to seat 460 mm, width 440 mm, depth 380 mm. A characterful, decorative and very practical suite of antique dining chairs, ready to place. Stock ref. 2110
