Art deco 1930's mirrored vanity dressing table by Shrager Brothers.
This rare 1930's Shrager dressing table has been fully refurbished and brought back to life.
With its unique design, side cupboards with shelves, specious drawers for sure will become focal point in any room. Could be used as dressing table or without mirror as great sideboard or drinks cabinet.
Partially hand painted in black mineral paint with deco stencil on raw veneer on top drawer , Original handles and Shrager medallion have been cleaned and painted in gold, Inside drawers and cupboard art deco paper has been added. The only part which couldn’t be updated it’s a mirror surface – as for its age it has a few chips and age marks on the edges but this only make this piece even more special.

"I was looking for a piece to stand next to a small ornate fireplace in our 1920’s build home and kept coming back to this lovely makeover, named ‘Grace’. I’m so delighted to have bought it. Mandy took time and care in delivering it and although she emphasised the fact it was an old piece I can only re-emphasise that that is exactly what I was looking for. It is testament to her skills that she has given ‘Grace’ a wonderful new lease of life. The stencilling on the drawers is top notch; the piece is painted beautifully - including the bits you wouldn’t normally see, which I prefer. The beautifully highlighted claw feet on the bottom of the piece are a real treat to look at, and my beady-eyed art tutor/’general expert on painted stuff’ agreed Mandys’ work is superb – sympathetic to the piece and to a high standard. I know I shall enjoy having Grace grace our home for many years".

"I don’t like to match furniture and love mish mash, quirky and odd looking things lol. I absolutely love them. My house is 203 years old and is grade II listed. I think it makes an old cottage come alive and puts a modern twist on it. I love furniture that tells a story or gets people talking at a house party".
