Black Upcycled Desk
This elegant solid pine desk, that was once destined for landfill, has been refurbished and transformed with a harmonious blend of classic and modern elements, giving it another chance at life with a new family.
The desk's body is painted in a sleek true black, using Frenchic's Loof. The dark hues of the body pair beautifully with the wooden desk top and gold detailing which adds a touch of luxury to the overall feel of the desk.
The smooth finish of the paint work creates a lovely modern minimalist silhouette, to compliment the wooden desk top which has been meticulously sanded and sealed with a clear varnish to allow the grain to shine through - giving a nod to its vintage origins.
The drawer handles and trim surrounding the wooden top of this large black desk have been painted in Frenchic's Golden Oldie - a lovely antique gold, which catch the light just right, for a subtle wow factor.
The black desk features ample workspace, whether it's for working or creating, there is plenty of room to get to work, and so much storage too. With three drawers, an open cupboard for a computer base unit, and storage above the drawers, there is no shortage of space to keep you organised either.

We found this really good website called Upcite where we saw lots of different and unusual furniture. We were after something oldie looking to go under the eaves in our little snug room that has oak beams. This needed to be a specific size and look. Soo pleased when we found the Upcite website with a range of possibilities. We ordered a sideboard and it arrived within a few days and fits perfectly. It now looks lovely with it’s Christmas Garland on! From our experience we would recommend Upcite to others.
I did eventually receive the sideboard after a lot of back and forth, and the seller reached out to me. It arrived with a few scratches but that’s not the sellers fault and can be touched up. The experience however was rather stressful. I wish the seller had been as proactive from the start and not only after I complained, as it is simply nerve wrecking to spend close to £1000 and then never really hear from them and having to chase them repeatedly and the item not being delivered when it was agreed. Overall I am happy with the sideboard, but my experience wasn’t great and that’s how I genuinely feel.
