Beautility Walnut Cocktail Cabinet, Blue Gold Vintage Drinks Cabinet.

Let me introduce you to this fabulous cocktail cabinet made by the Beautility furniture makers in the 1950,s.

If your looking for a classy, elegant piece of furniture to grace your home and to serve your guests drinks from look no further.

The cabinet comprises of a central drop down door when opened a top door pulls back to reveal a new mirror back panel and a new glass bottomed drinks preparation area with a glass shelf.

Underneath are two generous sized drawers for all your accessories.

Sitting either side of the drawers are two large cupboards, one having a removable shelf ideal for your smaller glasses or bottles all this is hidden behind some beautiful curved doors.

Sitting above these cupboards are two smaller size display cabinets with curved doors, Perspex windows and original mirror backs.

This cabinet was cleaned and after sanding off all of the original varnish just look at what was hiding underneath, the book matched walnut grain detailing is just beautiful, all the interiors have been painted in the lush blue colour, the exterior surfaces has been edged in blue and gold to really enhance the beauty of the wood then all it needed was was to be sealed with Osmo Oil in satin for the finished look.

The light in the central cabinet has been rewired, new battery led colour changing remote control lights have been added to the two display cabinets.

All the original door handles and hardware has been cleaned and finished in gold to give the finished look.

All the internal wood what has not been painted has been oiled to treat and feed the wood.

This piece is definitely a statement piece and adds a WOW factor to any room you decide to put it in.

Please note this is a vintage piece so comes with the odd signs of age. The Perspex windows do have some scratches on them do please look at the photo’s.

Mandy took time and care in delivering it and although she emphasised the fact it was an old piece I can only re-emphasise that that is exactly what I was looking for. It is testament to her skills that she has given ‘Grace’ a wonderful new lease of life. The stencilling on the drawers is top notch; the piece is painted beautifully - including the bits you wouldn’t normally see, which I prefer. The beautifully highlighted claw feet on the bottom of the piece are a real treat to look at, and my beady-eyed art tutor/’general expert on painted stuff’ agreed Mandys’ work is superb – sympathetic to the piece and to a high standard. I know I shall enjoy having Grace grace our home for many years".
