I have a rare but rather wonderful Stag Captains Chest available for commission.

This stunning set of drawers features 8 drawers in total, 4 smaller and 4 larger compatible with storing those all important essential items both small and large. This piece is so versatile and would suit many rooms within your home and can take many decorative styles eluding to an amazing transformation.

Whether it be a sumptuous piece of bedroom furniture, a stunning statement sideboard for a communal area or dining room or even storage in your home snug.

Minstrel, introduced in 1964, was an update of the less-successful Madrigal range. It became Stag's best-selling furniture range.

It was based on Regency designs, updated to suit modern tastes and practical requirements. Made from Makore (African cherry) including both solid wood and veneered finishes, it had clean, elegant lines and simple brass hardware. The simplicity allowed a wide variety of pieces to be produced, all instantly recognisable and perfectly matching.

Stag Minstrel has more recently undergone a resurgence in popularity thanks to its quality of build, coupled with elegant and classic lines. These pieces form the perfect canvas for modern makeovers. A look popular with both interior designers and the style-conscious who seek out beautiful, functional and sustainable furnishings.

Minstrel was good value for money, and was in production for nearly forty years. It remains widely available, so it is generally not hard to find matching pieces to extend a collection.

The price quoted is to include the purchase of the piece of listed furniture and to have it painted in a colour of your choice from the Fusion Mineral Paint colour chart. This price also includes protective top coat, and the full preparation process of careful cleaning, sanding and priming process. Any decorative techniques such as stencils, borders, transfers and the such like incur additional cost, please contact me to discuss your requirements.

REFINISHED VINTAGE

This piece is vintage but in excellent condition. This is a genuine upcycled vintage item that has had a previous life and it may have minor imperfections relative its age and wear and tear over the years. It has been fully cleaned in readiness for it's new image as much as appropriate to maintain its character. The painting and design work is all created by hand so please expect a professional quality artists finish not a factory finish.
